Wow, fun to watch that one. Like him or not, that guy loves his job, and in my opinion these daily videos are quite a generous service any motorsport fan anywhere. Beyond that, you can already see that because he knows he has no chance at an overall victory, he will drive 100% for the possibility of a stage win, with no regard for caution, and with no kindness shown to the Hummer, lol.

Excellent video footage from stage 7 on Eurosport, for anyone who has not seen it yet. Shows the VW men going quickly, and also Gordon the „Verruckter“ (I like that!), bombing it over the railroad tracks, then later puncturing.

Auch in Maribor / Slowenien gebe ich ein Bier aus, also keine Angst, wenn es in Karlshof ausgeht! Wir feiern weiter!

Marathonrally.com schreibt gerade so ziemlich genau das, was Dirk sich auch vorgestellt hat. Ãbrigens hab ich gerade gemerkt, dass heute die Wette 2 oder mehr Etappensiege für Giniel und Dirk mit 1:3 aufgegangen ist. Da ist die Freude ja noch grösser. :)

Yes, warm and dry, but I know you work hard for all of this! Square eyes: I/we have the same problem. And the squares are now sagging into long rectangles. And still a long way to go yet.

Of course, I’m happy. But what did I do? I’m sitting in my office, it is warm and dry. The only difficulty are my „squared eyes“. I’m sure I’m not alone with that implication of the Dakar. 😉
