Driven by American Mark Miller and South African Giniel de Villers, the two turbo-diesel VW Race Touareg 2s competed in the special SCORE Int’l Truck class and both had impressive finishes. The result was especially remarkable as Miller finished 11th overall among 4-wheel vehicles in 10:00:38 and de Villers was 18th in 10:18:44.
