I’d be very interested e.g. in contact to Monika. Monika, if you read this (quite sure you will 😉 ), I also work with languages, but more in language training than translating and would be interested in sharing experience and thoughts, as I’ve also got kinda soft spot for Brazil, I hope to travel there one day. Have been trying to learn Portuguese for a while haven’t got very far yet.

Stefan, das Foto ist nicht schlecht, obwohl’s auch einige andere gute Szenen gegeben hat. Hast du den Absatz zum Unfall der 317 in der Motorsport aktuell gelesen: „Kaum weniger spektakulär die Dreifachrolle des für VW agierenden US-Stars Robby Gordon. Klaus, dnke auch, dass VW zufrieden sein kann. Haben eine Super Teamleistung und Teamgeist gezeigt, und dazu noch gute Ergebnisse erzielt. Gegen die Mitsus war halt mal wieder keine Kraut gewachsen. Nächstes Jahr wird wieder angegriffen! Hoffentlich mit den gleichen Paarungen, macht einfach SpaÃ da mitzufiebern.
Für Robby war dies nun das Lehrjahr bei der Dakar, und wie ich ihn einschätze will er nächstes Jahr unbedingt wieder dabei sein, der ist heiÃ auf mehr! 😉 Und Robby und Dirk geben einfachen ein dynamisches Duo hab hihi, dat paÃt scho 😉

Something in English again – anybody who’s got the chance to read Autosport mag: they’ve got a nice two-page article on the Dakar this week. My favourite racing mag, have had a subscription for years, much better than the stuff you get in Germany, although Motorsport aktuell isn’t too bad either.

Ooops, sorry for the long post…. can never keep my mouth shut 😉

Hallo Ihr alle!
Die DAKAR ist ja nun für dieses Jahr so gut wie gelaufen und ich denke, das VW-Team kann zufrieden sein.
Jutta+Fabrizia habe, denke ich, alle Erwartungen voll erfüllt. Frauenpower halt!
Brun+Michel mit dem 5. Platz sind ebenfalls gut, vor allem wenn man bedenkt, dass viele vor der Veransaltung geunkt haben: Bruno Saby habe seinen Leistungszenit bereits überschritten.
Robby+Dirk hatten nach meiner Meinung einfach Pech mit ihrem Ãberschlag. Ohne diesen wäre ein Platz unter den ersten 5 sicher wahrscheinlich. Erstaunlich vor allem, da es sich hier ja um ein sehr kurzfristig zusammengestelltes Team handelt. Bleiben die beiden zusammen, können wir im nächsten Jahr wohl noch einiges erwarten.
Juha+Juha sind sicher dich unglücklichsten des Teams. Die 7. Etappe hat ihnen „das Genick gebrochen“. Ich weiss heute garnicht mehr warum.
Also freuen wir uns noch auf ein paar schöne Eurosport-Bilder heute und morgen.

Wie kann man denn bitte so „durchgeknallt“ sein 😉 😉 😉 .
Aber, Robby ist seinem „Ruf“ nicht nachgekommen (klopf 3x auf Holz), denn einige Persönchen wundern sich sicher, dass das Team #317 so weit gekommen sind.
Ich freue mich besonders für Dirk, der allen bewiesen hat, dass er einen sehr guten Job bei der Rallye gemacht hat und sich damit hoffentlich einen Stammplatz erarbeitet hat.
Ich freue mich jetzt schon auf die Paris – Dakar 2006 mit Dirk und Robby.

Great job 317. 22 cars overtaken today, amazing. Jutta overtook many as well.

Jutta: I will not know what to do with myself when Dakar is over, (until the Rally Monte and 24hrs of Daytona comes around soon). But I will for sure get much more normal amount of sleep!

Help me put the „pressure“ on Helge to do some fun things to end this year’s Dakar blog. Let’s get this party started! Seriously though, it has been so nice to come here for information and conversation, seems like we should do something on here to celebrate a good 2 weeks together, and make sure we get together next year too.

Hello, all. I suppose just too much dust and other cars to pass with such a low starting position. 317 had already passed 13 cars by CP1. Oh we, Jutta is safe, and again Bruno did a great stage.

Helge, it is almost over. What will you do on this blog to cap it all off with a nice bang? Should we have a „most defining Dakar photo“ thread or contest? A „best moments“ poll? You chose a „best Dakar post“? Can you add an email list sign-up box, so you can send out an update or two before next year? Let’s do something fun before we all disappear after tomorrow! Surely you are brilliant, and you will have some great ideas!
